Larktalon smiled and gave the kit a lick on the ear. Oh, how I wish I could have another litter of kits... she missed the days as a queen, for sure. Smiling softly she turned and walked to the place where she usually watched over the clan, looking down until she located the medicine den and made sure that Falconpaw was awake. Good, he's no longer with Tigerswipe. she thought and nodded approvingly. Then she glanced at Deadkit and flicked her tail lightly to tell the kit to come over to her. She wanted to show her how to look down upon the clan, so she could watch her siblings grow.

*Deadkit giggled when Larktalon licked her ear. When she was summonded by Larktalon, she scampered over to her and gave a happy squeal. She was excited.*

Larktalon smiled and nodded towards the stretch where you could peek through the sky, and every cat could look at the clans. "See? Those kits playing there? The tom right there is your brother, Bravekit. And the she-kit without forelegs is your sister, Runningkit." she said, feeling a flash of pity for Deadkit, seeing that she would not get the chance to meet her siblings. Not in many seasons to come, hopefully.

*Deadkit looked at the cats and suddenly a click in her mind switched. It was the click between what she should know and not. She will know grow mentally with her sibbilings but she will not grow up, visibly. She reached out to the and mewed, seriously, now able to speak "Why are they stuck down there? Can I get them?" and asked with a worried face.*

Larktalon was awestruck as the kit suddenly started talking, as if she had lived down with the clans all her life. "D-deadkit? You're talking?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. She had heard of these happenings though. A kit whom has not learned to talk, being born dead, would oftenly learn how to speak correctly when a certain time has passed. "They are down there, because they are alive. You died at birth, Deadkit. It was a horrible loss when they figured out that you and your siblings would have certain complications. Your sister for instance cannot walk by herself." she said, sighing. "You can get to them, through dreams. Though it can only happen when they are sleeping. Once they are tired enough and fall asleep, I will take you to them." she said and smiled gently.

*Deadkit looked at Larktalon is confusion "I have always talked..." and shrugged in confusion and mewed "Oh... How come I died? Why does that cat only have two legs? What is wrong with the other cat?" pointing from Runningkit to Bravekit.*

Larktalon shrugged, confused that the kit did not remember what had happened earlier on. "No, you didn't. Not before you saw your siblings. The one word you could say, was your name." she said and shivered as the kit asked how her siblings died. "That cat, is your sister. The other one, is your brother. Your mother had certain complications during birth." she said, remembering that she viewed the whole scene from the clouds, right before Deadkit had arrived.

*Deadkit mewed "Oh... I don't remember anything." and sighed "Can I go back to them? I want to play with them?" and frowned.*

Larktalon sighed. "It's fine. It doesn't matter." she said and smiled softly. Her eyes filled with sorrow at Deadkit's question though. "No. You're dead, you cannot play with the living cats." she said silently. "Though when we visit them in their dreams, you may as well play with them in the short time you have." she said and smiled gently.

*Deadkit frowned and mewed "Oh. Can I go to them now? They looked like they want to play!" and smiled.*

Larktalon shook her head, sad to have to disappoint the kit this much. "Not before they are asleep, I'm afraid. For now, you can look around the StarClan skies. I will watch your siblings and call for you once they fall asleep." she said and smiled.

*Deadkit gave a fake smile and mewed, clearly holding back tears "Okay." and pelted away into another forest. She started to burst into tears, away from Larktalon. She smelled more cats scent coming from the Dark Forest border. She forgot she had already been there when she had the transformation so she trotted into the misty border to the Dark Forest again.*

Larktalon sighed, knowing that Deadkit was upset. She did not notice where Deadkit headed though, and turned her gaze towards ThunderClan again. She watched them carefully, trying to make out when they would fall asleep. Come on! Sleep already! she thought, upset for once that the cats was awake.

Larktalon noticed that Runningkit and Bravekit fell asleep. "Deadkit! Come, they're here now!" she yelled out, though no answer was given. Shrugging she realised what might have happened. Can she have gone to the Dark Forest? she asked herself, and a terrible feeling told her that the kit had done just that. Running into the Dark Forest she began the search for the kit - all over again.

Foxtail watched over his clan, happy that Swiftwing would be going for the gathering. Feeling slightly sad that he could not, he thought, At least I'm in Starclan...I died honourable enough.

Larktalon had appeared on the other side, blood oozing from her wounds. Dropping Deadkit to the ground she collapsed beside her, her eyes closed and sticky with blood, and her breathing rather heavy. She hadn't managed to feel how badly injured she had become, though now, when the panic of getting out of the Dark Forest had disappeared, she felt every wound. She whimpered softly, wondering what would happen next.

Foxtail watched over his clan from Windclan's part of Starclan, oblivious to the fact that Larktalon was injured seriously from entering the Dark Forest. An ambitious apprentice had tried to kill himself in pride. He shook his head at the silliness of the apprentice, but at the same , felt that he needed to do something. He sat down, deep in thought.

Cherrykt was laying in the grass, lookng at the sky. Cherrykity dint play with the other kit that mush, but she all she did mack frends esaly.she heared that there was a new kit called Deadkit, so cherrykit got up to look for her.

*Deadkit looked at Larktalon, horrified. She burst into tears and started to lick Larktalon's cuts with her soft, never used tongue.*

Larktalon's eyes opened and she looked at the kit and smiled softly. "It's going to be alright. No need to cry. I just need some time to heal, that's all." she said, attempting to comfort the kit. She relaxed, her body going limp as she focused on something other than the burning pain of her cuts, and watched Deadkit with calm, kind eyes.
