*Boulderstep smiled at the kit and padded to camp. His smile turned into a deeply sorry expression when be walked into camp, seeing Bravekit and Solarstorm crouched next to Runningkit's and Brindleheart's body. He sat next to Bravekit and looked at the remains of the dead kit and queen.*

Thunderspark looked at his former mate. "Would you...would you like..."

Cuddles sighed and quickly interrupted Thunderspark. "There is no need to...I'm use to living as a loner." Dipping her head, she padded off.

Stormclaw frowned and shook his head, deciding not to ask his father first. Padding back to the warriors den, he gapsed as he smelled the scent of death. It is a tragic loss...but lightning perhaps it is better this way...two less mouth to feed...And Runningkit couldn't have been much use to the clan anyway...

Clawpaw trotted out of the medicine cat den. She tried to hold back tears as she saw the dead bodies. No...I have failed. I should have saved them. Padding over to Bravekit, dipping her head and looked at the dead bodies once more. "I'm...I'm sorry for your loss."

*Bravekit looked at Clawpaw and mewed with unemotional thick in his voice but inside, his heart was broken "It is okay. We all die at some point in time. StarClan does everything for a reason. Maybe it is for the best..." and trailed off, looking at Runningkit's empty eyes.*

(I am not to sure about that because the cats that went to teh gathering are back so i am actually not sure what time it is)

Solarstream didn't see Bravekit's smile, so instead of saying anything she touched the two dead bodies with her nose and sighed, getting to her paws. "May StarClan light your path, and let us meet again one day." she whispered, closing her eyes tightly. She turned and almost stumbled into Clawpaw, not realizing the she-cat had walked up to them. "Oh, sorry Clawpaw. I didn't notice you where there." she said with a smile. She'd almost said 'see you' though it was too obvious in her mind that she couldn't. "... Would you mind taking a look at me? I've been feeling rather odd lately. Mostly belly aches, though it seems I'm swelling as well." she muttered, not wanting to accept the fact before she'd heard it from a medicine cat. At this point, she was at her last half moon, and it wouldn't be surprising if she had them any time the next days.

Shallowclaw watched coldly over the two dead bodies, not showing any kind of emotion at all. Instead, he began hoping that StarClan agreed with him and had decided to send the lightning to kill off the two weak cats. He smiled softly to himself, finding it amusing that even StarClan thought of Runningkit as a weakling. He sighed and padded off to the warriors den, curled up in his nest and fell asleep, where strange dreams began forming.

(@Soul: There wasn't any gathering...it no longer did happen so the cats never went and never came back. They were in camp all the time.)

Thunderspark sighed and turned back, coughing on his way back to the elders' den.

Stormclaw sighed and watched the dead bodies for a moment. Turning his head, he padded into the warriors' den.

Clawpaw nodded at Solarstorm. "I'll take a look in a moment." She meowed, turning back to the dead bodies. Touching her nose with them, she meowed, "May Starclan light your path and may we meet again one day." Sighing, she looked at the dead bodies. No loss is for the better...

Solarstorm nodded acknowledgingly to the medicine apprentice, and padded back to the medicine den and flopped down on the ground there, feeling tired and exhausted. It was as if the short trip from the middle of camp and up to the medicine den had tired her quite a lot. Refusing to think the thought, she closed her eyes. After a few meetings with Zephyr, only a few... Had she really gotten pregnant with a loner?

Thunderpaw nodded and confirmed everyone's fears. She nudged herself closer to Falconpaw, sadness closing over her, "It was terrible." she meowed softly.

*Bravekit sighed as he looked into Runningkit's dull eyes. He would always remember this moment.*

Why don't we go back to camp and rest. It has been a long day for all of us. *turns and begins to walk back to the camp*

Falconpaw sighed sadly and nodded, watching the other cats. He dearly hoped that StarClan wasn't about to punish ThunderClan for anything. If they continued to send strikes like this, what would be left of ThunderClan? A whole lot of burnt cats. He shrugged and padded over to the two bodies, sat down and dipped his head, sitting in a silent vigil for his two dead clanmates.

Shallowclaw awakes with a gasp, breathing for air and struggling to awake properly. A long streak of blood had appeared on his shoulder, shining in the dim light of the den. He quickly groomed away the blood, remembering the dream he had only a moment ago, when he had agreed to train under Bloodstar's reign. He smiled crookedly, finding it fun to be one of the cats that Bloodstar herself had picked out. He trotted softly out of the den and sat down outside, taking no notice of the trickling blood.

Solarstorm felt an uneasy throb in her belly, and shrugged softly, thinking that it wasn't anything to worry about. A second later another, harsher throb appeared and she started to shiver, getting to her paws. Knowing too well what was about to happen, she rushed to the nursery, squeezed in and laid down upon the closest nest she could find. With a yowl of terror and pain, the birth prosess started.

*Bravekit heard Solarstorm yowl in pain and knew what was going on. She was giving birth. He rushed to the medicine cat den and mewed "Solarstorm is having her kits!" and stayed incase he was needed to carry something.*

(Brindleheart died because a lightning bolt struck her in camp. Runningkit died of greencough.)

Spottedpaw, Crowpaw, and Birchpaw walked up to Brindleheart's and Runningkit's limp bodies. Together they sat down. Birchpaw touched his nose to Runningkit's ear and whispered something-- "Have fun in StarClan, Runningkit," "And may StarClan light your path." Crowpaw added. Spottedpaw's eyes brimmed with tears but not one salty drop rolled down either of her cheeks. Coldember approached from behind her apprentice and his siblings, her usual sickening self, or so Crowpaw would discribe it, now not so cheery, with no bounce in her step or happy spark in her eyes.

berryheart heared Solarstorm yelling. then she heared that she was haveing kits and she ran to her. "are you ok Solarstorm"

Solarstorm merely shook her head, small tears appearing in her eyes as she gritted her teeth. It was pain as she'd never felt it before, and she desperatly wailed for help. A surge of pain rippled through her, and so the first kit was born. Another few minutes of long lasting pain continued on, until finally a second kit entered the world. The first was mewling and wriggling from side to side, while the second was quite still. She panted in frustration and pain, wanting it all to be over with. She knew too well there was another kit to come though.

*Bravekit yowled again for the medicine cat or medicine cat apprentice. "Solarstorm needs help!" and waited for them again, claws scraping the dirt.*

Thunderpaw followed Falconpaw and sat in siliet vigil with him. Soon after she heard Bravekit's alarmed yowl and ran to him, "What's wrong??" she demanded, then she heard Solarstorm. She knew by the ferocity of her screeches what was happening, "Bluefeather! Clawpaw! You must help her!!" She yowled with furstration. No one else can do this! Certaintly not Bravekit and I! Where are they?

Thunderpaw nodded seriously and ran at top speed to fetch Berryheart the water. She returned quickly and handed the water to her. Good thing there's a queen around1 she thought with relief.

*Bravekit noticed how the medicine cats were no where to be found and saw how Berryheart was organizing Thunderpaw to gather water. He decided he would just be in the way if he helped a faded into the shadows.*
