Swiftpaw watched in horror as Stormpaw leaped through the air, time seemed to go slowly. He knew this would surely mean the death of his clan-mate, unless Starclan had other plans.

Copperstar saw a mouse brained apprintice jump from Hightree. I wonder were apprintices get ideas like this Copperstar chuckled to herself.

Cherrypaw was studying what was happening over at tree and let out a yowl of horror as the apprentice jumped off the branch. Getting to her paws she ran over , looking up and judging how far to leap. Then she sprang into the air, grabbing the young apprentice and stalling his rapid fall. They fell to the ground, of course, though it was softer than it would have been if Stormpaw had landed straight down like that. Cherrypaw had landed on her flank, which had sent soft shivers of pain up her back, though other than that she had not been particulary hurt. Getting to her paws she stumbled to Stormpaw and touched him. "Hey... Stormpaw, isn't it? Are you alright?" she asked softly, obviously anxious if the cat she had attempted to save was alright.

Oceanpaw watched wide eyed as Cheerypaw caught Stormpaw from falling. That saved me from having to heal him! He probably would have broke something really important.. she though.

Rosefoot yawned and sat next to her friend Oakleaf. "How long is this going to take? I'll be in the elder's den before this gathering starts," she smirked.

"I don't know." Oakleaf replied truthfully. "The other clans are still not here. I say we should just have the gathering now so no more apprentices will do something completely idiotic."

"Agreed!" Rosefoot meowed glancing around. "I don't know what Stormpaw was thinking. You'd expect a cat to have common sense.."

"I'm concerned about what is going on with the apprentices these days. They are so reckless...." Oakleaf sighed. "I wonder what's going on. I'm worried for their safety."

Duskpaw's heart stopped as Stormpaw jumped from High tree, she had been about to run over to him when he jumped. She took a deep breath as Cherrypaw caught him and she raced the rest of the way to them, "Thank you!" she mewed to Cherrypaw, "Thank you for saving him!" a tear slid down her face, "Stormpaw, what were you doing! If I lost you-" her yowl stopped quickly ,her pelt growing hot as she looked around the clearing. 'How many cats heard that?'
Duskpaw turned back to Stormpaw amusement flicking through her, "And really, Supreme Leader? You dumb fur ball." she mewed affectionatly as she helped him up.

Swiftpaw ran up to Stormpaw, "Are you okay?" He meowed. "Not the best way to spend our time at our first Gathering!" Swiftpaw joked.

Cherrypaw sighed and stepped back, assuming that the apprentice was safe in the hands of his fellow clanmates. Smiling she sat down, watching as the cats gathered around the apprentice, some of them joking while others was horrified.

*Stormpaw hit the ground softly as cats gathered around him. He hissed. He wanted to die. Before he jumped, Whitepaw seemed to have wriggled into his kind and anger flashed before him. He wanted her dead and thought he was her. One thing yet to be figured out is, Stormpaw is not like other cats. His metal activity is much slower then others. Twolegs would call it mentally disabled. He sometimes had crazy outbreaks of extreme emotions that caused his to say, jump off the tops ofthe highest tree tops. His mental disability makes his life much harder then others. For this, he wanted death to swallow him.*

Duskpaw saw a crazed look in Stormpaw's eyes, "Stormpaw, Stormpaw what's wrong?" she licked his nose softly, not caring who saw now, "Are you ok?" she licked his nose again, as she tried to sooth him

*Stormpaw growled "No! I was ment to die!" and got up, unfazed by the long fall and pelted out of the island. He closed his eyes and pelted out to wherever his paws traveled too, without being caught.*

As Stormpaw pelted away Duskpaw froze,"Stormpaw wait!" she mewed sadly. 'He WANTED to die??' Stormpaw had never growled at her like that, grief washed over her and she padded over to Oceanpaw and sat beside her, "Stormpaw, wants to die? Why?" she muttered. Duskpaw lept to her paws, "Stormpaw wait!" she yowled again as she pelted after him.

*Nightwind watched ge ordeal, a smirk was shown on his face. He was trying so hard not to laugh at the situation. It is unknown why he was laughing but a twisted feeling crept into his stomach about Stormpaw that make his frightened. But, when he is scared or nervous, he stars to laugh.*

Swiftpaw stood and watched Stormpaw run out of the island. He sighed and turned to Cherrypaw, "Thank you. Don't feel bad about it though though, I'm sure he'll calm down later."
