"Now, try to stalk up at it. I will be watching you from a certain distance. Pretend it's an assesment." he said softly and nodded towards the place the hare was located and sat down, waiting for Badgerpaw to go ahead and stalk the prey and possibly catch it as well. Smiling encouragely to his apprentice he flicked his tail once.

Badgerpaw nodded and got into his stalking posistion. He quietly went forward making sure to move slowly enough to not make any noise. However the hare saw him and started running. Badgerpaw quickly broke into a run to try and catch it. Before it could jump into it's den, Badgerpaw jumped and barely caught it. He brought the hare over to his mentor. "I caught it!"

Frecklekit mewled sniffing for mommy's milk.

Darkthorn watched with eagerness as he watched his mentor and shrugged when he saw the hare spotting Badgerpaw. He held his breath until Badgerpaw had caught the hare and let out a purr of satisifaction. "Great work, Badgerpaw! And at your first try as well!" he said with a broad smile. "It's apparent you have the skills needed to hunt, so we'll return to camp now. Tomorrow we'll start your battle training." he said, still pleased about his apprentice's catch. If it continued like that, he knew for sure that Badgerpaw would make a great warrior. Smiling once again he turned around and padded back towards camp.

Badgerpaw nodded although he knew that when he was a kit he would occasionaly sneak out of camp and try to hunt, only to fail repeatedly. No one ever really found out, and it was a good thing as they would've probably delayed his apprenticeship. Badgerpaw followed his mentor back to camp, making sure not to accidently drag the hare on the ground.

When they finally got back to camp Darkthorn looked back at Badgerpaw again with a smile upon his face. "Put the hare on the fresh-kill pile and pick something for yourself. It's well deserved." he said and nodded, making his way over to the warriors den and laying down there, grooming his paws he stared out into the sky, pleased with the current state of his apprentice and that everything was seemingly doing well.

Badgerpaw put the hare down on the pile and picked a mouse up for himself. Taking a seat on the ground he began to take small bites, drifting off into his own little world.

Seafrost had awoke at dawn, having sorted out the Coltsfoot from Tansy from then until now. He didn't really converse with his clanmates that much, aside from his apprentice and brother. Though he could only talk to his brother at gatherings, that left him with only his apprentice for in-clan chat.
It wasn't like he didn't care to try and talk with them, it's that he hadn't much to converse about. They all had borders to patrol and fights to fight.
Not that Seafrost didn't love his clan or love caring for them, he just wished he'd have something more in common with those he lived with.
"Yes?" The ginger tom questioned in a friendly tone, his eyes lighting up as he turned to see his apprentice. He regarded Oceanpaw with a warm gaze, pride swelling in his chest as he knew she'd probably came straight to the Medicine Cat's den from the Apprentices'.

Frecklekit mewled and sniffed for more milk. She ran a paw over her ear like the big cats did.

Swiftpaw saw Badgerpaw come back from his training, he trotted over to the fresh-kill pile. "Congrats on your hunt," he said. Swiftpaw didn't want to eat right now so he just sat next to Badgerpaw.
"I think I'm going to go take a look at the kits," Swiftpaw spoke as he was turning towards the queen's den. He entered the den and saw three little kittens, "Hello Frecklekit, Whitekit, and Stormkit," he touched his nose to the little kittens heads and sat down next to them.

Redpaw breathed out, watching the hairs on his tail-tip quiver beneath his breath. He was curled up tightly in his nest, not wanting to leave the warmth of the den. It was leafbare, the time of year he hated most. It was cold, pure and simple, which also meant less prey. He already had a tough enough time finding prey, and now it would be an even more difficult task. He was determined though, and hopefully that would pay off in the end.

With a deep sigh Redpaw rose from his nest, arching his back in a good, long stretch. He had gotten a good night's sleep, at least. Now it was time to do whatever duties lay ahead of him. He was hoping to get chosen for a border patrol, whether now or later. He always enjoyed those. Something about seeing their territory and going out for a long walk around the borders appealed to him.

He exited the apprentice's den, blinking his amber eyes against the sudden change of light. His thick pelt protected him somewhat from the cold, but it still irritated him.

Fallenrock padded out of WindClan camp, a suspicious look to the way he walked. He wasn't hunting.. he wasn't patrolling...

Oceanpaw smiled slightly and shuffled her feet. "I-I was wondering if we could continue training? I can't seem to remember what horsetail and chamomile look like.. " Her gray gaze lowered to the ground. She was slightly embarrassed that she couldn't remember certain things. Her memory was always weary, especially when she tried to remember early kit days.

Frecklekit wondered where mommy was. Her real mommy. She remembered a soft belly and yummy milk. She generally didn't get milk here. And she hated the fresh kill.

Seafrost gave a light chuckle, nodding in response. "Of course."
The tom then flicked his tail, signaling for her to give him a moment to locate the correct herbs and show them to her. He trekked over to one of the many crevices in the walls that made up the den, shifting his weight onto his hind paws so he could extend his paw ans snatch up some horsetail.
Plopping back down onto all fours, the medicine cat snagged the bristly-stemmed plant with his teeth, padding back over to his apprentice and placing it on the floor - which he always kept clean, so there wasn't any worry of the herb becoming 'tainted' - and wandered off again to search for the chamomile, which was kept in another, albeit larger, crevice that was hidden by a cover of seemingly glued together curtain of leaves.
Seafrost clenched his teeth lightly around the stem of the white flower, retreating his steps back over to Oceanpaw.
"Right, let's see if you can try and remember what which looks like. Don't fret if you can't figure it out; just say so and I'll help you." He said once he'd placed the chamomile beside the horestail.
He truly would do anything to help his apprentice. She would take over his rank as Medicine cat when he came of age to retire, after all. He kept his emerald gaze trained on her, his eyes bright with encouragement.

Frecklekit padded out of the nursery into the main camp. She looked at the cats bustling around her. One knocked her over and she mewled in fear. She crawled away back into a den with many holes with herbs in them and a cat was holding a flower in his teeth. She squeaked as she bowled into him.

Swiftpaw exited the nursery den and looked around, he saw his mentor and he trotted towards her. "Hello, Spottedleap. Any training for me today?"

"Sure!" Swiftpaw said excitedly. I haven't gone training in a while, plus I'll be able to warm up if I do battle training, he thought.

"Hmm." Oceanpaw concentrated as best as she could on the two herbs in front of her face. She filed through her mind, trying to remember which one was which. Chamomile.. It's sweet smelling, right? She questioned in her mind. Ever so carefully, the young apprentice lightly sniffed the one herb. Sweet smelling! "This one is chamomile, isn't it?" She finally decided and gestured to the one she had sniffed.

Scartalon looked around for her apprentice Rainpaw. I don't see her any where's... She sighed, biting down on her lip softly and feeling a bit of disappointment. She had looked inside the apprentices' den earlier but didn't see her there. She must be out hunting or on a patrol... maybe playing with some of the other apprentices? she thought. Maybe I'll just go on a hunting patrol myself or with a few more warriors. She sighed again and looked around for any warriors out in the open.

Swiftpaw trotted after Spottedleap. It was good to finally have something to do, Swiftpaw thought. He sighed as he sniffed the air.

The medicine cat watched Oceanpaw intently as she thought out her answer. He gave a firm nod of approval when she chose the right one, "Correct!" He praised with a flick of his tail. He knew she could do it. He just hoped she remembered which did what.
"Is there anything else you're not too sure of? If not, I'd like us to make a trip to the stream that separates us from Thunderclan to find some more Feverfew - we're running low." He explained.
