Crowspirit padded out of the camp and thundered across the forest floor. Birds flew overhead and he sighed, a wave of madness sweeping over his mind. His blood ran cold and he charged toward the RiverClan border to cool off.

(ooc; hey guys, sorry but i've decided to retire Rowanflight and make a new cat in his place, Ashbreeze. reason being; i didn't feel very much of a connection with him, and he didn't feel very 'shadowclan'y to me. hopefully i feel better about this new character. i won't do this again, and im sorry for any inconvenience this causes.)

Ashbreeze had been out on a mid-afternoon hunt to clear his head. His thoughts had been consumed by memories of his uncle and the few he had of his parents. Tending to be in a rather abrasive attitude during these times, he found it best if he hunted away from his clan, near the borders. Sometimes being around so many cats had a suffocating feeling for the tom. 

Currently perched on the bark of a fallen tree, scenting the air for any sign of prey, Ashbreeze caught the scent of their deputy, Crowspirit. What was he doing so close to the Riverclan border? Taking it upon himself to find out, the broad-shouldered tom leapt off and darted towards the border. Slowing his steps the closer he got, the warrior emerged from the forest to find himself at the edge of a large stream. "Crowspirit?" Ashbreeze called out.

(ooc; please correct me if i'm wrong about the border!)

The massive tom shifted his body to the young warrior. "Hello Ashbreeze. You are probably wondering what I am doing so close to the border. Well, I was lapping up some water and I was thinking about a scenario that has happened a while ago. But never mind me, what brought you down here, so close to the RiverClan border?" he asked quietly, his voice calm and gentle. Crowspirits gaze fell upon his large paws and he then looked back up at Ashbreeze, his glance meeting his. Flicking his tail, he slowly got up, his shoulders bulging from his pelt and stalked toward a boulder and leaped upon it, looking down slightly at the Warrior.

Ashbreeze dipped his head in greeting as he listened to the deputy's explanation. He gestured back towards the forest as he replied, "Hello, Crowspirit. I was out hunting." He looked out towards Riverclan's territory, his gaze turning solemn. "Haven't caught anything, though. The prey is pretty scarce this leaf-bare." He added in disdain. He was sure they would survive the winter; they always have. But there was a nagging thought in the back of his mind that they may not be too lucky this time. Shaking his head to clear it, he looked up at the larger tom, their gazes locking.

Talonpaw awoke from his pleasant dream and bounded out of the apprentices den. He sighed, and padded out of camp in search of something to do.

"I was noticing that the birds in the forest are flying low during leaf bare, so an idea came to mind. I'd teach the apprentices, with the help of some experienced warriors, how to kill birds. It is a tricky hunting technique, and it usually isn't trained but I think we should bring it back," said Crowspirit, then he looked at the water, as it streamed low passed him. "I would suggest fish, but the ice is beginning to form so..." he muttered. Looking up and out at the trees, his ears flicked towards the woods and sighed.

Owlwing flicked her ears once the she-cats had gotten her into camp. She was laying in a moss bedding in the Medicine cats den awaiting her arrival. She gazed down at her swollen paw and really hoped that the twisted limp wasn't broken. Just twisted. She sighed but suddenly her stomach began to growl very loudly and she remembered she hadn't eaten at all that day. She groaned in annoyance hoping someone would be nice enough to bring her something. 

After waiting a good while the lean she-cat decided she was going to get it herself. Being stubborn she pushed herself up onto her good three legs and waddled outside of the Medicine Cats Den. She was very sluggish in her expedition toward the fresh-kill pile. A few times the she-cat almost lost her balance. She struggled to keep her face pain free but it was very difficult when she almost tripped and had no choice but to put pressure on her twisted paw. She let out a clenched yowl of pain clamping her jaws shut. Her ears flattened to her head as her fur stood on end. She huffed stopping for a moment sitting down. She was about three quarters of the way to the fresh kill pile.

Her mouth watered as she longed to bite into a piece of fresh kill. She sighed loudly before she looked around camp watching the busy cats move around. She hadn't really paid attention to her surroundings and suddenly felt embarrassed at the thought of some cats watching a ShadowClan cat struggle to get food. She growled at her stubbornness and the fact that her stomach once again made it known to her that she was indeed very hungry.

Shadowdance had gone into the warriors den after escorting Owlwing to camp, but when she heard a muffled yowl of pain she rushed out. She saw the injured she-cat and followed her gaze to the fresh-kill pile. Shadowdance let out a sigh and shook her head. 'Stubborn mouse brain. She's going to make her paw worse!' She couldn't help admire her determination however. 

Shadowdance padded up to the wounded warrior.  "Owlwing," She began carefully, hoping not to offened her struggling clan mate. "would you like me to fetch you something from the fresh-kill pile?" She asked gently.

Owlwing gazed over at Shadowdance and grinned halfheartedly. "I would much appreciate it." She flicked her ears settling down onto the ground. "Then could you help me back to the medicine cat den...also would you like to eat with me?" She didnt really want to eat alone. Her eyes showed an apologetic look hoping she didnt trouble the other warrior. She was being stubborn and she didnt want to be an inconvenience to anyone because she was too impatient to wait for someone to bring her food.

Shadowdance gave Owlwing a friendly smile. "Sounds like a plan! Let me go grab that fresh-kill and I'll be right back." She padded away over to the pile of prey and her mouth began to water. Then she paused. 'Fox dung! I didn't ask her what she wanted to eat..'

After a moment of searching she flicked her tail happily when she spotted Owlwing's bird that the other she-cat had caught earlier. 'I'm sure she'll be pleased to eat this! ' She picked it up, happy wih her decision,  and padded back to Owlwing. "Ish thish gud?" She mumbled through the feathers. "

As Badgerpelt left the nursery his eyes gleamed happily and he looked around. Though his demeanor was usually happy he always seemed closer to ecstatic when he left the nursery. He knew everyone realized how much he loved spending time with the kits but no one knew to the extent that this reached and absolutely no one knew why. Looking around camp Badgerpelt saw that there was only about half the warriors in camp and assumed the others had gone to patrol or hunt. Padding towards the fresh-kill pile, Badgerpelt picked a squirrel that he had killed that morning during a hunting patrol and padded off to eat it. As he laid down he decided her would go hunt some more after he was finished.

"That's a pretty good idea; I know there's some low enough branches on a few trees that they could easily reach and practice from." Ashbreeze mewed in reply, his bright amber gaze following Crowspirits towards the stream. "It's still a while before the stream will be completely frozen, though." The warrior pointed out, "We have until the next moon, I'd guess, until it would be too risky." He added as wind buffeted his fur. Being so close to the water sure made the area around it more cold. Pricking his ears as the deputy sighed, Ashbreeze frowned. "Is something else bothering you? You seem troubled."

Lonerkit was sitting in a corner of the camp, licking her front left paw to clean it from some dirt the she cat had longed on it. Most kits would be playing moss ball or play wrestling She thought to herself, then sighed. But me, I'd rather practice my hunting crouch or listen to a story from the more older cars. After a bit, she licked her paw once, then narrowed her eyes as she noticed it was clean from the dirt that irritated it. Cleaning between the toes is the worst. She thought, before getting up and taking a small lizard for herself and taking it back to the corner she had previously sat at before tucking in to eat.

Owlwng purred in delight at the bird she saw Shadowdance carrying. "Of course!" The she cat lifted herself up with a painful expression but quickly leaned on her newest friend. She looked over at how far the medicine cat den was well wt least in her eyes with her injury. Se huffed silently before smiling. "Lets head over!"

"Well.... Nothing," he stopped. He didn't want to show his weaknesses to anyone. Standing up upon the boulder, the large tom heaved himself to the ground and streamed by Ashbreeze. "Come on, lets go to camp," he muttered. Swinging his large shoulders side to side, he passed through the forest like a shadow and made his way to the camp entrance.

Sorry for the late reply's. So... Any Idea where I can throw Darkcloud back in? Or should I just re-start her?)

Shadowdance purred happily at Owlwing's approval of her choice in prey. Though she stopped when she saw the other she-cats pained expression. She let Owlwing lean on her and gave the her new friend a smile. "Yeah!" She hid her worry for the grey she-cat, not wanting Owlwing to worry over her injured paw more then she probably already was. Shadowdance was positive it would get better soon.

She led the other cat to the medicine cats den, going slowly until they got her to her makeshift nest. Shadowdance didn't think it looked very comfortable and she made a quick mental note to fix that later.

Crowspirit glided into the camp, his shadow sneaking behind him and his massive build showing through his thick fur. The tom nodded his head at Owlwing and Shadowdance. "Morning you two..." he said proudly. Dropping a few crows into the fresh kill pile, he picked up a vole. Padding to the back of the camp, he jumped upon the highrock and sprawled out on the boulder.

Owlwong purred happily ignoring her own pain as they walked or rather she waddled with Shadowdance's help over toward the Medicine cat den. Her ears flicked as they detected a voice and her eyes soon found their Deputy, Crowspirit. Owlwing nodded respectfully to him as she responded with a friendly tone. "Goodmorning Crowspirit." She let a small smile grace her lips but she soon turned away as the two shecats made it to den. She laid down on the not so comfortable bedding. It was old and didnt have a lot of moss cushioning her. It was also rather cold to sleep on but who was she to complain. She flicked her tail beside her left side as she waited for the other to sit. 

(Darkcloud can like come visit Owlwing^^)

Shadowdance gave a friendly flick of her tail to the ShadowClan deputy since she really couldn't talk much through the feathers of the fresh-kill.

Shadowdance set the prey down in front of Owlwing's nest and took her spot next to her when the other she-cat looked up at her expectantly. "You're more then welcome to take the first bite!  It is your kill after all." She purred as she nudged the bird closer to her friend.

Darkcloud padded through the camp, anxiety written all over her face. She quickened her pawsteps, pausing to dip her head at the deputy before she made it to the medicine cats den. She stuck her head in. "Owlwing? You in here?" She called.

Owlwing shivered lightly before she gazed at Shadowdance. "Of course I will. Im injured and my stomach keeps growling at me!" She chuckled jokingly as she bit into the prey with a expression of happiness. When she swallowed her stomach let out a moan of approval. She then nudged the bird back before Darkcloud stuck her head inside the den. Her ears went back in slight shock not really expecting the she-cat to come in at that moment. She smiled as she replied, "Yes I am in here. Come in Darkcloud." She called calmly.

Acornkit pranced after Fallkit to fall back into step alongside his brother. Eagerly awaiting to get into the big world outside the camp. Hopefully no one was going to stop them before getting out of there.

Fallkit smirked happily as he glanced around the entrance before quietly slipping away off the side on the opposite side of the camp outerwalls.
