Tunnels

Subject: Tunnels Sat Apr 20, 2013 7:55 pm

In the distance from Thunderclan's territory is a tunnel system that starts off in the distant unclaimed territory from the clan. These tunnels run down for a pretty long distance, a few forks in the path that might lead to more tunnels or dead ends. You might find some mice and rats scrambling along these tunnels and occasionally some moles. Some cats live down here in these tunnels, if a group were to take upon this tunnel as their home they might as well deal with the rest of the cats that live down there as well...

Rowan padded down into the tunnels that she had called her home for many moons. She hadn't caught any prey today, but she still had part of a mouse left over from yesterday, which she unearthed from where she hurried it the night before and gobbler it down in a few quick bites. Licking her lips, the rogue she-cat settled down in her scrappy bed of old moss and bracken strands. Closing her brilliant yellow eyes, she fell asleep.

Trick was hiding along his part of the tunnels, he occasionally heard cats down here but he just ignored them or made them really REALLY annoyed with him. He didnt care if they though he was annoying just as long he would get some laughs from them. He glanced around the area looking for something to snack on or at least take some from others. He padded along quietly and in the distance of the tunnels he saw a cat sleeping, a small smirk pulled its way along his muzzle. He jumped over a rock but failed his landing completely, quickly getting up he made his way over to the cat.

Rowan awoke at once when she heard a cat near her. She tended, but she didn't move or open her eyes. She was prepared to fight if need be, but for now it would be better to pretend to be asleep so she could surprise the cat.

Trick continued his way over to the cat occasionally looking around the area, when he got close enough to the cat he looked around to see if there was any prey. Sighing in defeat that there was no prey around he started to head further down her part of the tunnels to snag some prey from her territory

Hearing the cat pad away, Rowan lifted her head. "Hey!" She growled at the tom. "That's my part of the tunnels!" She spat, leaping to her feet and unsheathing her claws. "Stick to your own territory!"

Trick smirked before he turned around and looked at her "aw come on, I was just being all curious on who lived down here. Shouldn't I be allowed to see who is across my own territory?" he asked slyly. Taking a step towards her, his tail twitched with anticipation on what was going to happen next.

Rowan bared her teeth at the tom. "What, by exploring their territory? It would be better to meet me if I was awake! If I wanted you to explore my part of the tunnels, I would have told you." She spat, her brilliant yellow eyes narrowed and fixed on him. "Now, what do you want?"

Trick looked at her and faked a apologetic expression and looked down at his paws "I just told you, and how was I suppose to know that you were sound asleep. You cant really tell what time of day without going to the entrance of the tunnels" he replied doing his best fake sad tone that he could do.

Rowan narrowed her eyes. "If you can't tell if a cat's sleeping or not down here, then maybe you shouldn't live down here." She pointed out in a hard tone. Sighing she sat down, but her muscles were still tensed, ready for action. "You might be lying, but you might just be a mouse-brain." She sniffed, not caring if she was insulting him. "My name is Rowan. Now you tell me your name."

Trick's ears perked upon hearing her hard tone "Well I have lived here basically my whole life" he responded a without thinking. Noticing what he said he figured the trick has failed on this cat, he might as well hunt on the way back, he smiled at her before saying his own name "Its Trick".

"I would say that it's nice to meet you, Trick, but unfortunately it's not." Rowan hissed, then sighed softly. "Where do you live in these tunnels?"

"I live a bit near here, why?" he asked with curiosity instantly replacing his smile, and tilted his head a bit.

"I want to know where you live so I can kill you." Rowan said sarcastically. "I want to know where you live, so I know where to go if you cause trouble." She mewed, flicking her tail.

Trick slyly smirked "yyyyeeeeaaaaahhhhh but I cause trouble most of the time according to some cats when im just trying to get some humor. Havent you heard that you should laugh at least a day or its wasted?" he replied back calmly.

Rowan narrowed her eyes, looking uneasy. That meant that she'd have to watch this cat. "I doubt that's a saying." She sighed. "However, if you go about trying to find something to make you laugh all day, that is when a day is wasted."

"Maybe, or maybe you are just dull and not fun." he replied to her with a bored look, and he started to turn around towards the exit of her territory.

Rowan rolled her eyes, her claws still dug into the loose layer of dirt on the floor of the tunnel and scraping on the hard rock underneath. "Or I just want to survive." She huffed. "Playing pranks all day isn't a good survival plan. Hunting is a way to not die, Trick."

Moonshadow awoke to the sound of multiple cats arguing, though he couldn't make out how many. He slid to his feet, and slowly padded through the tunnels to investigate. Stupid cats and their loud conversations. He thought to himself with a growl. Once he reached the two cats, he crouched down for a second, and studied the two with his gleaming eyes. "These two shouldn't prove much of a fight, if the time were to come. I guess I came here for an easy talking." He grumbled to himself.
He stood back up and walked up to Rowan. "Alright, you two just need to keep your conversations on a low level of voice. I can hear you all the way down in my territory. Also to aware you, that argument about territory you just had? Really annoyed me. Not like you should care, but please, just keep it down." He growled. "Now if you'll excuse me, I don't have any more time to waste on pathetic loners like you." He meowed with a hiss, and slowly began to walk away.

Trick's ear's twitched with irritation to this new cat based on the way he talked to both of them, he honestly did not mean for another cat to come by. He did not say anything as in worry that it would agitate this cat further, and he DID NOT feel like fleeing back into his own territory nearly dead or with terrible wounds. ' Not much of a great cat to be around with in my opinion, he seems to serious about little things right now' he thought to himself, he glanced back at Rowan nervously. He was never really a great fighter anyways, his family sorta teased him about that and his father did NOT help that situation at the time.

Juniper wandered around, looking at everything carefully. Eventually she spotted a small mouse. Gathering her haunches beneath her the she cat lept and landed on the mouse, killing it quickly. It was a decent catch for her, and would make a nice meal.

Rowan continued to look at Trick, but the newcomer's comment caused the tortoiseshell she-cat's fur to bristle and her teeth to clench together. "I'm sorry I woke you from your beauty sleep." She snapped, swinging her head around to glare at the tom. "If you have a problem with the fact that I have the ability to speak with other cats and that I have free will, then you can go back and retreat to your parts of the tunnels like a kit running for its mother." She growled, her claws unsheathed, sounding almost as if she was looking for a fight. "And if your time is oh so precious, then why did you come here in the first place?" Rowan's eyes narrowed as she looked over the cat. He looked like he would be strong if it came to a fight, but she figured that she would be able to stand her ground and chase him off if needed. "You must be as arrogant as those Clan cats!" She spat out the word 'Clan' like mousebile on her tongue.

( Gosh it's fun to roleplay a cat like Rowan. xD )
