As their leader spoke, Whiskerpaw couldn't help but gasp. A loner? No, no. Definitly not a loner. The thinge of fish was still clinging to the tom's fur. A RiverClan warriors? How come Echostar had been so easily convinced all he wanted to do in the clan was to join it? What if he was an imposter, here to spy on their plans and get to learn their every technique, and then report to his leader in RiverClan!? The thought haunted her for a second, and without knowing it she'd uttered the words: "How do we know we can trust him?" out loud. More than loud enough for every cat in the clearing to hear, including the leader.

Flushing, she realised she'd just made herself seem a fool. Oh well, might as well continue on the theme now that I'm thrown at deep water, she thought and opened her mouth once again. "I mean, he could easily be here to spy. How do we know he's not here simply to learn our secrets and tell them to RiverClan? We'd be an easy target if our secrets are spilled all over the place," she said, debating on whether this was enough to be said for now or not. Finally she closed her mouth, staring challengingly at Echostar.

Halfclaw made no rush to defend his Loyalty, he would prove his loyalty by his actions, not just his words. He simply looked up at Echostar, waiting for what she would say.

Whiskerpaw has a good point, although if she is wrong... then we may just offend our newest member for no legitimate reason. Dirtkit thought, but like Halfclaw, remained silent.

Ferneyes meowed, "Welcome to Wind Clan, Halfclaw. I can't wait to get to know you better!" His emerald gaze bright, he walked over to Halfclaw and smiled.

Dirtkit purred happily. It's good that at least another cats accepts Halfclaw, besides me. He thought, but remained seated.

Lightpounce sat just outside of the medicine cat den. Her disapproving gaze set upon Halfclaw.

Pouncepaw and Echopaw exchanged a look, knowing there would be some trouble. Their aunt isn't the most friendly twords the other clans and a cat joining the clan? Starclan knows what the tabby will do.

Halfclaw noticed how the medicine cat was gazing at him. Well, I'd have to be careful around the medicine cat, if she's not too found of the idea, He thought, but did not let out any indications concerning his weariness of the cat.

Echostar took one slightly shaky breath and continued to begin speaking once more. The absence of her voice was making the clan start to speak among themselves, which was not needed when a leader is trying to restart a meeting. "I believe we can trust Halfclaw, he seems to be a trustworthy tom who can contribute much wisdom to the clan. That is all that needs to be said." She meowed boldly and then gracefully leaped down from the rock, tail held high.

Halfclaw let out a breath he did not realize he had been holding while the leader was speaking. He was just glad to have a clan to call home.

He then realized at how little he missed his litter mates, Scarletfur and Ravenriver. Sure, he felt a pang in his heart, albeit a small one, and he guessed that it was because he knew the two probably would not last more than about seven to nine more seasons, yet he could last up to two dozen seasons, if nature dose not push him too hard. His two litter mates would often tire out walking just the distance to the border, while Halfclaw could run to the border and back without too much difficulty, although he tired out easily afterwards.

He shook his head to clear his thoughts. Now was not the time to reflect on his sibling's condition, nor compare it to his. Although they were in different clans now, they where still his siblings and he fully expected them to rejoin together in Starclan.

Dipping her head in acknowledgement to Echostar's words, Whiskerpaw glanced over at Halfclaw. "If you say so, Echostar, I shall accept him into the clan and treat him as any clanmate should," she declared, showing that she respected her leader's words. With that their leader seemed to dismiss the meeting, and Whiskerpaw looked over at Halfclaw, mouthing the word "welcome" before turning around, picking a starling from the fresh-kill pile and moving over to the apprentice den where she laid down, feeding on the scrawny bird.

Treeclaw, who had come back to camp at the end of the conversation padded over to Echostar, and as he passed Halfclaw, he gave him a weary nod before heading on. Acknowledging that he would accept him as a clanmate. He padded over and sat down by Echostar, nodding his head in a respectful greeting. "So..." he inquired with a tone of curiosity in his voice. "What happened at Shadowclan?" He asked.

OC: Echostar turned to look at her deputy. "Their leader wouldn't speak to me, it seemed he was too busy with other plans and such." She replied. Her chocolate brown calico fur fluffed out as a brisk breeze swept over the moor, rustling the sparse growth scattered throughout the WindClan camp.

Dawnkit crouched low on the ground her fluffy gray tail swaying back and forth over the dust. "Waaaaaa!!!!" she cried as she pounced on EchoStar. "Gotcha!" she purred rolling on the ground with laughter. She soon took notice of the seriousness. Her misty blue eyes looked up at Echostar with curiousity, "Why are you so serious?" She asked her fluffy grey fur poofing out in the slight breeze.

Mudpaw sped across camp towards Dawnkit. "Because she is the leader you dumb mouse-brain!"

Tansypaw, Hollypaw, and Blazepaw sped across camp towards Mudpaw.

"Your the mouse-brain Mudpaw! Speaking like that to a young kit in front of the LEADER!" Tansypaw hissed, her tail lashing furiously.

Hollypaw nodded. "She's right Mudpaw! You should have known better to stick your nose where it doesn't belong. Now your bond to get in trouble!"

Blazepaw was hopping around the her littermates chanting "Mudpaw is a mouse-brain! Mudpaw is a mouse-brain!" Then fell to the ground laughing. But her laughter was soon cut short once she saw the dark, storm-heavy clouds.

Mudpaw just growled at his littermates. Then looked at the sky to see ominous clouds massing above.

Smokeypaw watched from the shadows, why did his eldest littermate have to embarrass them? He just shrunk farther into the shadows. He sensed a storm coming and could smell the rain-smell.

"All of four of you are mouse-brains. Leave each other alone and let those of a higher rank deal with it." Lightpounce hissed at the apprentice, dipping her head briefly at Treeclaw and Echostar and her tone became noticeably softer as she turned to speak to the kit. "Dawnkit, how about we find someone to teach you some moves."

Her face light up almost immediately, "Really?" Dawnkit couldn't help her tiny self, "Oh boy oh boy!" she purred looking up at Lightpounce, "Ohhh your the best Lightpounce!" Her fluffy gray fur fluffed out with glee. "What am I going to learn?" she squealed barely keeping herself together. "Is it going to be the warrior crouch?" she asked crouching low on the ground fiercly. "Or the battle swish?" She squeaked. Dawnkit jump into the air and slashed with her tiny paws at the air.

Mudpaw stalked away towards the apprentices den. Growling under his breath.

Blazepaw hopped to the apprentices den and took a nap

Hollypaw and Tansypaw watched them leave.

"sorry about our brother, Dawnkit. He can be a pain in the tail sometimes. Would you like to see some battle moves we made up? You can use them of course!" Hollypaw mewed, while Tansypaw nodded. "Then when you become an apprentice, you may be even better than us!"

Halfclaw and Dirtkit where sitting in an area in the clearing, chatting about Dirtkit's family history.

"And so that's how me and Moss decided which cat went where." Dirtkit finished explaining why he had came onto the Windclan border.

Halfclaw nodded. "And then you met up with Aurorakit and was found by Shyfeather?" He guessed.

"Yeah, that's right." Dirtkit confirmed.

"Do you know about a she cat by the name of Clawkit?" Halfclaw asked.

"Yeah, she was my sister. Guess she went to Riverclan then?" Dirtkit whispered, not wanting to share this with just anyone.

"Correct. She's actually quite close with her bigger brother, Rushfur." Halfclaw spoke softly.

"That's good." Dirtkit sighed in relief.
