(Yay! Thank you! ^.^)

Lightheart felt eyes burning her pelt and shook her fur on her head in a devious way, making her appear like a young, wild she-cat. Turning her head to Nightleap in a slow, devious way, she batted her eyelashes in a mischievous manner, daring him to follow her. She often forgot her age and such a young tom often sent her into a frenzy to impress him. Flicking her tail, the cattail reed like fur moving in a forced movement. Flexing her claws, digging them into the dirt, she was fearful that she was making too much to impress him. Glancing at his cold blue eyes, she wondered if the ice over his heart would melt for her. Her heart pounded like a furious rain on the branches of a tree. Without speaking, her movements clearly suggesting she was taunting him.

Seeing the shine in Nightleap's eye - which was obviously one of interest - Cloverstream got a tiny bit excited, before realizing that he was looking at Lightheart and not her, which made her flick her tail in anger and whip around on her paws, padding away towards the fresh-kill pile with her nose in the air and her tail high. It always drove her nuts when she was upstaged by another she-cat, and to her this meant war. Her pale blue eyes glinted angrily in the sunlight, and she flexed her claws into the soft dirt below, glaring at Lightheart as she flirted with Nightleap. Cloverstream's small, pointed ears laid flat on her head, and her tail swayed back and forth as she scowled at the other she-cat so ferociously that she could have turned a mouse to stone. Her gaze was icy and cold, but in it was a burning passion - a passion that cradled her hatred of anything and everything. Her whiskers stood straight out and her legs were stiffer than a frozen hare as the cream and ginger she-cat's claws curled underneath her dainty little paws, demolishing the grass and soil beneath her paws.

( Ooh, can Cloverstream and Lightheart be rivals? And I'm debating on whether or not to make Cloverstream a bit... dark. Cx )

Bushheart padded into camp, and laid his one mouse down on the fresh kill pile. He then rushed to the dirt place tunnel, reappearing after a few moments, then rushed back into the forest.

(Oh yeah! Rivals they shall be! XD)

Lightheart happened to flit her eyes over Cloverstream as she glared at her with a look of a deep internal hatred. If looks could kill, then Lightheart would be dead. A challenge seemed to penetrate the air and tention cracked like lightning. Willing her new enemy at first glance to make her first move, she gave a devious smile, luring Cloverstream to her.
The one that inflicts the first blow is the one who will lose the main show, she recited, remembering her mother's words from when she was a kit.
Shaking her ruffled pelt, she flexed her claws in a out, anticipating a small quarrel between the two she-cats. All over a tom, that was the way that Lightheart preferred it. Heaving a sigh of determination, she wanted to win the quarrel and win Nightleap over.

Bushheart pounced on a second mouse, killing it swiftly. "One more to go, and I'll meet quota." Bushheart muttered, burring his mouse, then padded off to continue hunting.

Underneath the Thunderpath? How come? Completely lost in thought, she padded towards the place where his scent was coming from, until she found herself walking right into him. "Oh, sorry! Didn't see you coming," she murmured, although was mostly interested in the black tunnel underneath the dark, hard path.
Silentwind smiled a bit "It's fine" he replied calmly to her. "So, how are you today Fernleaf?" he asked looking at her with a hint of curiosity.

( I found the perfect theme song for Cloverstream if I decide to make her all dark and twisted: What You Want by Evanescence. xD )

Cloverstream met Lightheart's intense gaze, and she snarled in response to her silent yet obvious challenge, not blinking or taking her eyes off the other she-cat. The cream and ginger she-cat wanted to leap on Lightheart with her claws unsheathed right then and there, but not only were they Clanmates, but they were right in the middle of the camp. Kneeding the dirt underpaw with her claws in frustration, Cloverstream hissed a warning at Lightheart and stood up. She stalked towards the rival cat with both confidence and passion in her step as she got closer and closed to Lightheart, step by step. Her tail swayed in the air and her soft fur blew in the cool breeze. Gritting her teeth, Cloverstream resisted the urge to raise a forepaw at swing at Lightheart's head with her claws ripping at her fur. Instead, the cream she-cat stopped walking and stood nose to nose with the other she-cat, so close that she could feel her hot breath on her muzzle. "Shall we take this outside?" She mewed, her voice icy calm, but her eyes burned with flames of anger.

Bushheart was walking near the border when he noticed a squirrel and a vole nearby. He decided to play it safe, and ruched after the vole, catching it with ease. Purring with satisfaction, he carried it to the place where he caught his mouse earlier, retreated it, and padded into the camp.

As he padded into the camp, He glanced at Clovereye and Lightheart, then carried on to the fresh kill pile, and deposited his prey.

Lightheart met Cloverstream's icy cold glare with an ignorant smile. Flicking a fly that buzzer by her ear with her tail, she cooly shook her pelt as if nothing was of the matter. When Cloverstream got closer, she smile more widely, containing all of her rage inside of her. It is not she-cat like to act out of sorts like this. Ruffling her molted brown fur with silver hairs patches, indicating that she was getting quite old, a layer of dust seemed to fly off into the air.
Cloverstream had stopped right in front of her nose. She could smell Cloverstream's scent and hear her enraged breathing. Twitching her whiskers in irritation, she could clearly distinguish all of her blemishes and beauty alike. Smiling a smile that surely would make any cat cringe, she listen to what Cloverstream had to say.
Clearing her throat, she mewed in a voice that sounded as if she was talking to a kit, "Now, now, Hun! Don't get your tail in a wad. That is something that true she-cats know is not part of proper etiquette!"
Cocking her head in a manner that suggested she was talking to an incompetent fool, she knew that clearly Cloverstream was loathing her.

PostSubject: Re: ThunderClan Territory   ThunderClan Territory - Page 2 EmptyFri Apr 26, 2013 12:59 pm

It was as if nothing had happened. Honestly. Without letting his eyes waver off, the tom watched the two quarreling cats with mild interest, although the cold glint had disappeared. He sat quietly and watched them, until his mouth gradually began cracking up in what was seemingly a smile. It couldn't really be recognized as one, it was so twisted... And nothing about the smile was natural. He seemed possessed. Watching the she-cats fight was one thing, although the knowledge that they were actually fighting over him was an entire other prospect of the case. He actually almost broke into a horrible, malicious laughter, but kept it back. A flash of brown had caught his eye and his smile disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.

A brown, sturdy tom had indeed appeared, his thick fur puffed out in every direction and his broad stripes rippling softly in the air. A minute later he'd knocked the two she-cats apart, and stoof defiantly between the two with a snarl formed on his lips. "STOP IT! You just ruined my afternoon nap, and I DON'T APPRECIATE IT!" he growled angrily and flicked his tail from side to side. "If you're going to make a fight out of it, at least move out from camp," he said with a tone that suggested he didn't honestly care. Falconswoop hadn't cared for a long time, actually. "Get lost," he ordered and flicked his tail, glaring at each of the she-cats with a challenge glowering in them.

Tilting his head slightly to the side, Nightleap quickly figured the fun for his part had ended. He might as well exit camp and catch some prey. Not for the sake of feeding the clan, of course, but for feeling blood rushing over his claws once again. Obviously he wouldn't get the chance to do such a thing in this fight. Quietly he snuck by the border of the camp, and vanished through the entrance and into the shadows.

Lightheart glanced over at Nightleap, flicking Cloverstream in the nose with her tail. Smiling at him with a toothy grin, glinting mischief and desire in her grin.
Suddenly, she saw a flash of mud brown fur and she clumsily collapsed onto the ground. Feeling her bones and joints pop from the sudden movement and collision on the ground. Grunting, she wobbled up, her back causing her loads of pain in that fall. Wincing, she glared at Falconswoop, pain clearly reflecting in her bloodshot eyes.
Shaking the dirt from her pelt but holding her breath as pain shot through her body, she bared her teeth in a sudden sensation of exhilarating hurt. Breathing through her clenched teeth, "I have got to go."
Dismissing the previous quarrel and other cats, she staggered out of camp, passing Nightleap without even glancing at him or noticing him. Limping to a small clearing in the forest, she sat down and lay there, pain piercing through her whole body. Laying there, her eye were closed and thoughts tumbled inside her throbbing mind.
Why do I have to be so old? Why can't I just be young again! Everyone will treat me like an ancient elder, although I feel like one. StarClan clearly is not watching out for me. I need to get my life going because I am going to die too soon!
Laying there, she had delved through her options and knew that she would have to kick her life in gear or else it will be gone.

Snorting, and slightly happy that the quarrel broke apart, Falconswoop whipped around and walked straight back to the warriors den without a second thought about this "she-cat fight". They could fight as much as they wanted, for what he cared. Although he was slightly worried that Lightheart become hurt by his rather rough tackle. Shrugging he laid down and closed his eyes and attempted to fall asleep.

However, it wasn't as easy as he had first thought. He laid there, thinking that he'd seriously wounded the elderly she-cat and finally stood up and walked out of the camp, using his well-trained nose to track her scent. "Lightheart..?" he called lightly, and with a slightly gentler undertone. "I'm sorry if I hurt you," he said, once she came into view. His voice had regained some toughness, although didn't sound as fierce.

((Forgot to post for Fernleaf... Sorry Mephy!))

Fernleaf fluffed up her fur and looked at the sky for a moment. "Lovely weather. Today is a fine day, yes," she said, mistaking his question for being what the day was like. Her eyes clouded slightly and she studied the skies with great interest. "You haven't been seeing any flying toads yet, have you? I've been looking for that sign for ages," she said with a voice that suggested she was slightly worried.

Lightheart heard approaching pawsteps and whipped her ears around to get a better sense of who it was. Staggering to her feet, she heard her vertebrae pop and snap as if she just woke up from a long sleep. Cringing as shooting pain shot across her body, she faintly heard Falconswoop's apology.
Wincing, she sat down clumsily, breathing deeply as if that was a major chore. Brow furrowed, she narrowed her eyes at Falconswoop, clearly showing signs of a grumpy old elder. Mewing in a voice through clenched teethe, she spluttered, "I am fine. Thanks for popping my back in place you little snot nose cat."
Managing to lie about the fact that her back didn't feel very well at all, she hoped her lighthearted name calling would distract him from the fact that she was hurting. Flicking a fly away from her ear with her tail, she was now realizing that Newleaf was nearing it's end. The sun seemed to scorch her molted brown pelt, threatening to make it difficult to move as the sun seemed to drain all energy from her.

he shook his head "No sorry, maybe Cherryleaf has though" he replied to her. "Why? was it a sign from starclan?" he asked with intrest with the subject considering starclan has not made contact with himself for a while. Which to him could be both good and bad; good because there may not be any danger yet, or bad because starclan might be busy with a major interferance.

However much he wished to make a proper apology, Falconswoop couldn't help but smile at her cheeky grumpiness, so similiar to the way the elders treated kits. And it was logical too. Lightheart had been a warrior by the time he'd been born. Of course she wouldn't view him as more than a snotty kit with a tendency to butt in on their business. His whiskers twitched with amusement and he chuckled lightly. "I guess you owe me a 'thanks' for popping your back into place again, huh?" he joked and smirked.

"Listen, grumpy she-cat. Fighting isn't for you. If you haven't noticed, you're older than most warriors are. You should be retired already. And still here you are, quarreling over a young tom you know will never be yours anyway. Elders are supposed to be witty. Use your brains," he snapped angrily and flicked his tail with slight annoyance, which quickly wiped his smirk off his face. "Get back to camp and enter the elders den. That's were to belong," he hissed, whipping around and making his way back into camp. After all, he had made an apology by now, right? And even though he'd just offended her even more, this was something he hardly cared about.

Fernleaf frowned at SIlentwind's answer, and sighed. "Cherryleaf is blind as a bat. Sorry to say," she murmured and shrugged. "Toads are bad omens. Flying toads are even worse omens. Even you should figure that one out," she said with a teasing smile on her face, even though her eyes seemed distant and spacy. "Do you know why toads croak, Silentwind?" was her final question, before she became completely silent and studied the reddening sky.

Lightheart flicked her ear in amusement and twitched her tail. Twitching her whiskers in a sudden rush of annoyance as he seemed to be requesting a thanks although she knew that it was a sort of joke. Grunting in a response to what he said, joking about her back popping, she began to lumber back to camp.
Before he was out of earshot, she listened what he had to say about her age and how she should retire. Fear flashed through her eyes and for a moment, her pain was numbed. Whipping around, ears pinned back and tail lashing, she was ferious. Forgetting about her back pain forthw moment, she snarled and hissed, "Don't speak to me like that you little piece of mouse dung!" Digging her claws into the ground, she clenched her teeth and could feel the grinding of her molars. Anger surged through her and she exploded again, "I am not an elder and you listen here! I got a few good moons on me still. It is not your place to tell me what my future may hold. For a matter of fact, I know you as good as I know about my roots, which I don't know at all!"
Again, she lied to make conversations better. She knew her roots probably better than any other cat but she knew that she had to appear like it was unknown. Being a kittypet decendant is one thing she isn't proud of. When she heard him order her back to camp, she lifted her paw and cuffed him on the side of the face, clearly offended and enraged. "Don't order a more experienced warrior around, especially not me! I should cuff you again but I feel a young, dumb cat can figure out what I mean without getting hit twice."
Digging her claws into the ground, she knew that she would never trust this cat and would have to make sure to never turn her back on him. Blindly, she trusted Nightleap more than this ignorant fool.

Falconswoop had hardly expected anything less than a harsh cuff. Elders were like that, right? Couldn't blame it on their many moons, aching bones and hunger for a life filled with youth. "I'd be surprised if you knew me, ma'am," he said grimly, and shook his head to clear it. The blow had brought him slightly out of senses. "Experienced warrior or not, you're clearly not smart enough to realise what you've got in your paws. You're merely toying with your destiny. Don't lose it too quickly, m'kay?" he said and leaped up into the tree, absolutely certain that something like that would deliever him another blow.

"The huntress can easily become the hunted," he commented wisely, sitting on the branch and studying her with his amber eyes. It was unalike him, giving advice like this. But he knew Nightleap and his horrifying love for blood and dead corpses. After all, he'd mentored the young cat. All throughout the apprenticeship, the young tom had been overly lusty for blood. His suspicions couldn't be openly voiced either, for who would believe an aged, old warrior? Although he believed he was right in warning these cats. He hated thinking about it, but he wouldn't be surprised if the cat commited murder one day. . And he'd hate to see it be one of his clanmates. Whether it was a grumpy old she-cat or a young kit born only a second ago.

At the other end of the forest, at the very edge of SkyClan territory, a black and white figure crawled delicately over the ground. Seemingly soundless, and with such graceful movements you could hardly believe this cat was from this planet. He showed great skill stalking his prey, and even better skills at catching it. Within a quick pounce, blood splattered the forest ground and the cat happily smeared the blood on the ground. Marking this as his territory. He had made a kill here. This was now his. In the future, he'd make an even grander kill. One that would truly give him the right of this land.

Lightheart gasped, taken aback by the tom's ignorance and foolishness. Considering she is narrow and closed minded, she thought that everyone else was stupid but never her. Raising her law to cuff him yet again, this time much harder, she saw him leap up into the trees and unsheathed her claws and dug them into the peat soil. Growling, she still felt the pain in her back piercing her body so climbing was clearly out of the question.
Heaving a sigh, she lowered her head and tail, for once in her life defeated. Ignoring the rest of the sneering comments from Falconswoop, she began to walk deeper into the forest, her back beginning to feel a little better. She knew that Falconswoop was right and she was too old to be a good warrior but accepting that was something she disagreed with. After walking a little ways from the clearing were she argued with Falconswoop, she lumbered under a fern bush and buried her face in her paws.
At last she was accepting that she was no longer her young self but an old, want to be young again cat. Tears began to sting her eyes and then they flowed out like the rain on a moist leaf-fall day.

Seeing that Lightheart had now left the area, without seemingly taking his words to heart, Falconswoop heaved a heavy sigh. Of course. It's so alike my foolish clanmates, acting like kits in one second, and then tearing apart and leaving the area entirely. Nobody in this clan is fit for a fight, if seen from that angle. Tradgic, really, he thought bitterly and got to his paws. He had no business in this tree, now that Lightheart had gone. He left behind all worries of the she-cat, and began the journey back home. If this she-cat now became victim of any creature in the forest, he wouldn't blame himself. For sure. This was a destiny she herself made, and their paws couldn't be guided by StarClan all the way. Indeed, they had to shape their own destinies by walking in their pawsteps.

Shrugging lightly he noticed the entrance of the camp, and leaped down from the tree he had now reached. He prefered using the path drawn to him above the ground. It was so much easier to use, and a lot safer too. He couldn't see how WindClan survived a fox attack, as an example. They'd be completely run down, and kits and elders wouldn't be able to do anything at all. While in ThunderClan, they taught their kits to climb at a fairly young age, and even the elders could be hoisted into a tree if neccesary. It had saved lives in the past, so why not in the future as well?

As he couldn't find a logical solution to the WindClan cat's idea of having camp in a completely open space, he went straight back to the warriors den to continue his needed nap. He glared angrily at Cloverstream as he passed, and then entered the warriors den, leaving the clan cats behind to their own businesses.

Lightheart layer under the fern and wept. She knew that she was unable to find love at her old age and she wasn't even able to fight either. Accepting the fact that she should retire and step down from being was hard enough and she knew that Falconswoop was correct. Recollecting her life she had, had, she soon figured out that she did nothing extraordinary or special. She was a normal cat without any perks in her life. This was the worst she could have possibly got from herself. Raising her head, she whipped her tears on a frizzy and matted pelt and just looked blankly into the forest. Then all of a sudden, something caught her dimming ears.

Oleander trotted briskly through the forest, terrified. Her mother had lost her and she had lost all of her littermates. Small paws had beat the leaf baring ground and she sniffed the wind for her mother. Mewling in a pitiful tone, she started, "Mommy! Mommy!"
Ear cocked forward to try and catch her mother's call back in response, she wobbled around ferns and other underbrush, frightened and lost. The huge forest was completely foreign to her and a penetrating sensation of the unknown seemed to radiate from the dense trees. Being a kit who was alone and young, she was oblivious to these dangers but something seemed to be pricking at her night black pelt.

Lightheart heard the cries of a young cat in distress and leaped onto her paws in alarm. Picking up the scent of a very young kit, she set out at a brisk pace to find the kit. All former pains had seeped away from her body as she searched.
Finally, she found the mewling kit and scooped it up before the kit could protest.

Oleander felt teeth grasp her scruff and she was hoisted up, delight bubbled in her eyes until she figured out this wasn't her mother and she struggled trying to get away. Before Lightheart could even speak to the kit, large amber eyes gleamed from only a fox length away. The foul odor of carrion and death wafted to their noses and a gleaming red dog leapt out of the brush, snarling and circling the young kit and old warrior. This was clearly not going to go the cat's way.

As Nightleap finished burying his now bloodied and torn mouse, he heard a faint cry. He didn't know what it was, nor whom it belonged to. Psh. Probably just some lost cat. Not my problem, he thought ignorantly, and flicked his tail to one side. Then he heard the snarling. Malicious, hungry... Thirsty for blood, just as he was. He recognised it. He'd encountered one of these specimens when a twoleg had passed by with one in a leash. It had been rather furious at him for some sort of reason, although it hadn't been able to attack.

Wouldn't it be entertaining though? To fight one of these creatures? he thought absentmindedly. FInally he decided he'd give it a shot. He could always escape into the tree-line if the job seemed to be too hard to master.

Giggling as a kit would do over their first trip outside, he climbed a tree and slunk along the branches, invisible to the naked eye. The scent put him off for a moment, although the temptation for a good fight was too large. This dog was enough of a challenge for him. Fish-faces over the river didn't prove to be strong enough fighters to be any threat to him. At least in his opinion. He timed his move with precision and skill, landing squarely on the back of the dog, and digging his claws into the neck and back of the creature. Using his teeth he grabbed the scruff of the dog, ripping and tearing off chunks of fur.

It howled in rage and bucked wildly, trying to get him off. Eventually it succeeded, and Nightleap was thrown to the other side of the clearing. Using his long tail he swirled around and landed on all four paws, his neck fur bristling, his tail lashing, his ears flat against his head and his lips drawn back in a snarl that dared the hound to take another step towards him.

( Woah, I missed a lot! D: )

Cloverstream blinked at Falconswoop as he passed, glaring at her. Seeing the tom who had broken up her fight with Lightheart's expression, her pale blue gaze hardened and she glared right back at him, her eyes staring into his back as he padded into the warriors den. Cloverstream then tore her eyes away from the warrior's den where Falconswoop had disappeared into and started grooming her ruffled pelt.

Silentwind smiled at her, although when her final question came around he thought about it for a bit before answering her final question "To attract mates?" he replied hopefully that it would be the answer she was looking for. He glanced at the now mid purple sky and saw silverpelt come across the darkening sky.
