Free Linearts

It is ok to use other peoples linearts off the internet, IF YOU HAVE PERMISSION from the artist. If you use a free lineart from the internet, provide a link back to the picture to give the real artist full credit. You must give that info either directly under or above the image.

You must also follow the original artists rules, like leaving on brands, ect.

If the lineart was not for public use but the artist gave you permission to use it, please provide a screenshot or link to their message stating that you can use it for this purpose.

Copying/Tracing/Claiming ownership of other peoples art/lineart:

We take art theft seriously here. If we find you have broken the rules here, your art will be taken off and you will be warned or banned.

Claiming art that was not made by you is unacceptable.

Tracing or freehand copying another person's art to create your own art is not acceptable.

Editing other people's art without their permission is unacceptable.

No trading art or pets on here for real money. You must not make a profit for art on here, that includes fake money too, on other games.

Selling/Trading Art

You are not allowed to trade/sell art from this site for real money!

The last rule confuses me a bit. Are we allowed to do commissions here?

I think it means that you aren't allowed to do commisions on this site for points/pets/profit of any kind on another site, though I'm also unsure whether it only includes points that is bought for real money or if we're allowed to sell art for things that isn't bought with real money. I do believe we should be allowed to ask for something in return though, because it can be quite hard to sell something on here, where you don't really have anything that you can give in return.

Perhaps the mods/staff would be kind and tell us what is actually meant by this rule and what is actually permitted? Smile

You may not sell art for real money here. Points/Money on other games/sites though.... shall I allow that or not? I thought about selling art on here for Prey Points, but I would have to exchange all the points manually, which would be a lot of work.

Though if you do use a lot of time drawing those pieces, not every user would be willing to do it for free... I know I probably wouldn't, since most full-body pieces takes around an hour to make. I this that you should allow people to trade points that aren't bought with real money, so that it's a possibility to make profit out of the work Wink

Idk, most people do have a Deviantart, but I agree that manually transferring prey points would be a whole lot of work. Maybe Deviantart points could be allowed?

Well, I don't think everyone cares to have a dA, nor do I think that everyone collects these "points".

(Personally haven't heard of these points, nor do I have any clue what they are for. To me, dA has become a place to post drawings and maybe get a tiny message back, though I do not get the "llama badges", "points" etc. that people seem to collect and harvest wherever they can get them. My point it therefore, not everyone collect dA points. If they are allowed, I think we ought to let the users trade other things as well, as long as it do not require the customer to buy it by paypal/card/money)

Points can be used to buy DA premium subscriptions, adoptables, and commission artists.

Ah. Well, I still believe we should allow people to trade other things as well, as I've mentioned that not everyone is interested in these points. Either way, I believe we need the admins to sort out what will happen about this case Wink

Soon I am going to make a Prey Points Shop where you can purchase forum goodies with your PP. That's all going to be manual as well... Anywho, I will allow trading art on here for points/currency from other games/sites. We can't 'sell' art without anything in return. Smile

Agreed Moon :3 Life for an artist would be hard if you never got anything in return... The prey points shop sounds interesting though, I will be keeping an eye on that Smile
