Scartalon looked at her paws and thought. When she looked back up she noticed Swiftfoot seemed nervous. "Are you OK?" she meowed to him in a hushed tone.

(I'm not posting what she's thinking because then things might not happen on their own... >_>)

*Boulderstep smiled and mewed "That is great news! I am so glad you are okay! Good night!" and dipped his head to Scartalon and smiled widely. Lumbering away, he sat a fair distance from the Great Tree.*

*Moonstar made her way to the Great Tree and took a deep breath. She hopped up and dug her claws thoroughly into the trunk. Her shoulder hurt ever so slightly, but she continued to climb until she reached a branch that was a tad bit lower than the other leader's branches. She dipped her head respectfully towards them.*

*Seafrost slowly made his way across the log. Not because he was afraid of falling in, but because he just felt like taking it slow. He made it to the end and hopped off. His eyes scanned the crowd of cats for any of the other medicine cats.*

*Firepaw sniffed the air and scented WindClan. "WindClans' finally here..." He smirked. "The gathering should start soon." *

*Boulderstep saw Moonstar jump up onto the tree and he gave a wide smile and muttered "Goody, goody! The gathering will start very soon!" and smiled widely.* (8D)

Swiftfoot glanced down, a rather hostile look upon his face and it seemed like all the previous nervousness he had been showing off had been wiped off. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" he snapped at her, not feeling very good at all. He simply wanted Coyotestar to tell him how to do this, for he had absolutely no control over what to do. He decided to let one of the other leaders speak first and study their speech, and then he would make his own.

Sootpaw sat quietly next to Firepaw and Crowpaw, "What's going on?" she whispered quietly to Firepaw, "This is my first gathering."

Thunderpaw felt as though Crowpaw had slashed at her face and she took a step back, he had a right to be upset, But I like Falconpaw, that's just how it is. She didn't have any hard feelings toward Crowpaw so she took a careful seat next to him.

Crowpaw's fur bristled but he kept where he was and tried to ignore the fact that Thunderpaw was sitting right next to him. "Oh, the gathering is just having a slow start. Once the the leaders start talking it will quiet down," he told Sootpaw. "and then, when they are done talking, there will be a little cool down moment for everyone to talk to each other again, say farewell, and the clans will leave.... That's how it usually goes anyway."

Scartalon chuckled as Boulderstep walked away and whipped around to look at Swiftfoot. She stared at him for a few heart-beats and shifted her paws awkwardly, thinking of something to say. Instead of saying something though she scooted away from Swiftfoot.

"Oh thank you." Sootpaw stared into Crowpaw's deep blue eyes and her pelt grew hot so she turned her gaze to the leaders.

Thunderpaw almost hissed in frustration, Birchpaw moved on right?!? What did I do to you? "It's nice out tonight isn't it? Perfect Newleaf night for a Gathering!" she meows carefully to Crowpaw, trying to start conversation.

*Firepaw nodded in agreement to what Crowpaw said about the gathering and let his attention wander. His gaze moved from the little group of apprentices to the giant tree that stood in the middle of the island. He couldn't wait to hear what the leaders would say.*

"I'll go first, if that's okay?" Moonstar mewed to the other leaders. This gathering was delayed enough, so she wanted to get things moving.*

Crowpaw ignored Thunderpaw and looked up at the leaders who were beginning to speak.

Scartalon looked up above her and listened to her leader Moonstar.

Sootpaw looked up towards the leaders as Moonstar moved and wished Silentpaw would come and sit with her, these two apprentices next to her, Thunderpaw and Crowpaw, had a sense of awkward dislike toward one enother.

Thunderpaw tried again, "What do you think Crowpaw, nice isn't it??"

Thunderpaw sighed her eyes searching for other apprentices that didn't want to rip of her pelt.

Sootpaw looked at Silentpaw for a moment then mewed to her companions, "I'll be back." she padded over to him carefully, "Those cats were kinda freaking me out." she explained, wondering if he had uncovered her secret.

Sootpaw's pelt grew hot, "Um, a lot." she whispered and looked into his eyes

Thunderpaw stubbornly moved toward Crowpaw as he moved away from her, then her temper burst, "Crowpaw, just because of what happened between between Birchpaw and me does mean we can't be friends!" she looked at him pleading.

Runningstorm looked around. Padding foward slightly, he sat down and waited for Moonstar to speak.

Leafpaw sat silently, waiting for Moonstar to begin talking.

Clawpaw looked around and saw an unfamiliar cat sitting in silence. She's probably a new apprentice, she thought.

Oakpaw padded towards Silentpaw and Sootpaw, greeting them.

Coldember looked around and waited for the leaders to go on.

Scartalon sighed and watched the leaders.
