Lionclaw swiped at the massive creature, snagging his claw in it's ruffled, thick fur and rough skin.

Swiftbreeze nodded "stay here" he ordered dashing out of camp, a scared apprentice could just mean putting each other in more danger.

Whiskerpaw gulped down a growing lump in her throat area and nodded to Swiftbreeze, her entire body trembling. What would happen to her dear clanmates? She risked their lives because she broke a rule. Never enter a hole. You never know what's down there. She quickly regretted ignoring what her mentor had told her, and crumbled to the ground, her eyes straining to hear any sign of struggle, and shrieks that signalled a death of a friend, any sounds at all that could signal this living nightmare would end.

Tigerfur leaped up, hissing, and dug her claws into it's broad shoulders.

Eventually, Whiskerpaw realised that she was being as scared as a mouse, and acted like a tiny kit. Frowning she staggered to her feet, trying to maintain a determined look, that eventually slid into a frightened expression. Either way, she padded out of the camp, and nervously looked around for signs of the badger. She heard something barging around nearby, and followed the sound until she found the badger and her three clanmates. She frowned lightly, although decided she might as well throw herself into it and help out. For a change.

Slightly hesitantly she streaked out of the bushes, her ears flat against her head as she bit the badger's forepaw. The creature reared and growled, obviously realising it was outnumbered. Whiskerpaw knew it would want to escape soon, and that it'd do anything to do so. Therefore she let go, and prayed her clanmates would do the same.

Swiftbreeze raked a claw down the badgers back before glancing at Whisperpaw then signalling to Lionclaw to stop. After a moment the brothers stood on either side of the apprentice, just incase the badger was only faking it.

It so seemed they were in luck, because the badger gave a loud, squealing sound that could have reminded them of a pig (if they knew what a pig was) before it vanished among the ferns, crushing the plants with it's large forepaws. Whiskerpaw was stunned by the fact that everything had worked out... Or at least it seemed no warrior had been harmed in this attack. Glad that the day had ended well, and without serious injuries, she breathed out heavily. "W-we're safe, aren't we?" she asked quietly, instinctivly turning towards Lionclaw, whom she trusted more than anyone else. Or at least she liked him better than the others...

Lionclaw looked down at the apprentice "probably" he meowed "but Tigerfur(?) and I willfolow it a bit longer to make sure, Swiftbreeze can take you back to camp" he said lending into his habit of delegating. Lionclaw knew it got on some cats nerves, but he had always been ordering others around, especially Swiftbreeze and Nightrose, he had been doing that since they were kits.

((I share your feeling, Tigerfur. Living on different time zones is what makes it hard to keep the RPs active. Unfortunatly. And Spottedlead, it's Whiskerpaw and not Whisperpaw. c: ))

Somewhat pleased with herself for actually returning into battle, and for not panicking at the sight of the huge creature that had it's mind set for one thing - killing. Frowning she padded after Swiftbreeze, even though she envied Tigerfur. Simply because Lionclaw seemed somewhat interested, to her great annoyance. Shrugging it off, she followed Swiftbreeze with a feeling of defeat, even though they had just won a battle against the most vicious animal alive.

"Are you alright whiskerpaw?" Swiftbreeze asked walking back with the appprentice. He knew his brother was just trying to protect her, but he couldn't shake the feeling that Whiskerpaw wasn't pleased with that.

Lionclaw padded softly, swiftly in the direction that the badgered had lumbered away, making sure it hadn't turned for the camp.

Looking up at Swiftbreeze, Whiskerpaw did a rather good impression of a smile. "Of course I am. I'm just a little rattled. Having a badger leap right into my face was kind of a shock," she murmured, explaining her look of disappointment as an expression of fright. Hopefully Swiftbreeze would eat her bait and leave the case be. She didn't want anyone to know she had a secret crush on Lionclaw, no matter what happened.

(whoops! I probably would have posted on here earlier if I had checked my email, but I had some customs to do on chickensmoothie and I like to get customs done quickly so they don't have to wait)
Tigerfur padded after Lionclaw, scenting the air. It wouldn't hurt to hunt along the way. She thought. But this stench is blocking out almost any other scent!

Lionclaw slunk along for a bit before turning to her "It's past the border, we should be fine, but what do you think?" He asked, waiting fr her opinion

Although he didn't really believe her, Swiftbreeze gave a nod and padded over to a shaded spot where he sat down and observed the ret of the clan.

Lionclaw nodded "I agree, and it's probably best we do, just so we can warn the others... but we may as well hunt as we go, no use in not replenishing the fresh kill pile" he meowed, then a thought caught him off guard, Nightrose had been out during the battle, was she alright?

Lionclaw looked at her and gave a subtle, brief nod. "Yes ... I'm fine, I just realised that my sister was out, I'm thinking she didn't know about the badger" he said briefly before padding back in the direction of camp, scenting the air for prey occasionally.

Flicking her tail, Whiskerpaw parted ways with Swiftbreeze. He didn't seem to take in what she'd just said, although he didn't seem to question her further. Besides, she didn't feel that she had anything to talk with him about either, so instead she walked over to the apprentice den, laid down on the ground at her back and allowed her gaze to swirl over the blue sky. It calmed her, watching the large, fluffy objects floating around with no worry in the entire world. It made her feel incredibly small in comparison to the sky, but she knew her anscestors were there, so nothing from the sky would be able to hurt them, right?

Pouncepaw and Echopaw sat sharing a rabbit, occasionally talking about what they had been doing.

Tigerfur followed the scent trail, and eventually it became stronger. She crouched down and approached quietly, and soon saw it grazing lazily. She got a bit closer, then launched after it. It raced away, but not quickly enough. She leaped at it and dragged it towards her, killing it swiftly.

Lionclaw shrugged glancing at the small bird. He thought it was actually pretty pathetic but didn't say anything. he spotted a flash of brown and white in the distance then scented the air. he picked up the familiar tang of his sister and let out a small breath of relief as she padded toward them, she too had caught a hare. "Hunting went well?" he called to Nightrose who nodded as she caught up to them.
