| Lynxpaw walked to Hawkpaw. "Hello." she mewed. Her large, wide ears were strange compared to most cats, and she hoped that wouldn't stop him from playing with her. |

| Silentpaw smiled softly at the kit as he brought over some catmint "Of coarse you will, all kits get their clan names." He pushed the catmint over to the kit "Even if they are not clanborn" he finished. He looked at the kit, still smiling he added "Here eat these it should make you feel a bit better than before" |

| A lump of cold ice fell on Treepaw's head, awakening her in surprise. She quickly shook it off, and ruffled her fur. It was freezing out! Treepaw got up and walked out of the den, shivering and ruffling her brown tabby pelt once more. She had realized that the kit had gone off somewhere, when Treepaw was asleep. Treepaw searched for a scent of the kit and found a somewhat stale one, trailing off into the Medicine cat's den. The tabby apprentice strode off toward the den.
Upon entering, the strong smell of conserved herbs and berries struck. It was bitter and not very pleasant, but it has to be put up with if you were sick or injured. Treepaw moved forward, seeing a stick of moss that she had licked thinking it was honey about a moon ago. She stayed clear away from it, not wanting to think about that wretched taste. The young apprentice soon saw Silentpaw and walked up to her,"Hey Silentpaw, do you know where the new kit is?", she asked, not knowing where that little dark kit was. |

| Owlscreech jumped in surprise as she felt a small pile of snow fell on her from a nearby tree. Quickly shaking off as much snow as she could, she raced into the warriors den and layed in her nest before licking off the rest of the snow, mumbling about how she wished it was new leaf already. |

| Stormstar, with his head held high, paced out of his den and leaped onto the tallest branch in camp, getting ready to make an announcement. It was about time he gave the new kit a name, and the medicine cat apprentice, Silentpaw, also needed a proper name after the abrupt disappearance of Shadowfeather. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather to hear my words," he called out in a strong, booming voice.
((Seriously need to get up some activity in the RPs again... >_>)) |

| Treepaw, upon hearing a gathering being called out, she walked over to the tall tree (?) and sat fairly far from the tree, but close enough to hear. |

| Stormstar raised his head and adressed his clan, smiling brightly, but with a hint of sadness in his eyes. "Dear clanmates, I think it's apparent that Shadowfeather was lost in the hour when the storm was raging at it's worst... We'll miss her every day, and pray that when newleaf arrives we'll be able to retrieve her body and figure out what actually happened to her," he said and bowed his head in a momentary grief. "Thus, Silentpaw will be given his full position, which I'm sure we all agree he deserves. At the next Medicine cat Meeting, I'll be travelling with him in Shadowfeather's absence and make sure he recieves his name." With that now complete, he adressed the small kit sitting next to the medicine cat.
"A while ago we took in a kit lost in the storm. He was cold, and needed a home. Now that he's part of our clan he deserves a name worthy of a clancat. I therefore give him the name Darkkit, to represent his dark coat," he said and smiled to the kit. "And that will be his name until he enters his apprentice moons," he said and flicked his tail, signalling that he'd finished his speech and that the clan could now cheer the newly named kit. |

Treepaw looked back to were Silentpaw and Darkkit sat, smiling a little. She turned back to see Stormstar. A pang of sadness and fear struck her when she remembered Shadowfeather's body dead near the blood stained fox. Treepaw shuddered and shook the thought away. |
