"Yay! thanks!" Lilypaw exclaimed before scurrying over to Marshfur. "Marshfur! Marshfur!" she meowed, squealing as excited as a kit, "Can we go hunting with Mudpaw and Hawkfur, can we?" she asked bright eyed, looking up at her mentor

Marshfur looked at Lilypaw. "Sure," He said. "I'll come along too." He padded toward Hawkfur and Mudpaw. He sat down and waited for his apprentice to come over so they could go out.

Hawkfur gave Marshfur a nod, "I don't believe I've had the pleasure of hunting with you before." he meowed.

Lilypaw hopped excitedly back over to Mudpaw. She was happy they were going together. Mudpaw didn't mind being separated, but ever since her mothers death Lilypaw never wanted to leave her brothers side. Together, the two apprentices padded forward, following their mentors

Marshfur nodded in response to Hawkfur. "Now you have." He chuckled, padding out of the camp with the others.

Hawkfur scented the air, thinking. "Where would you like to hunt?" The brown tom asked the other three.

Marshfur shrugged. "Wherever you three want to hunt, it really doesn't matter to me." He meowed, waiting patiently for a decision from the others. He sat down for a moment, trying to think of other things. The young tom had a lot on his mind, but he just shook his head and focused on hunting.

Hawkfur shrugged, "Alright, lets go this way..." He pointed with his tail, following faint scent of bird and squirrel. "Can you two guess why we're going this way?" he asked the apprentices.

The apprentices sniffed the air "So we can jump into trees?" Lilypaw asked hopefully

"To look for the bird I smell?" Mudpaw added

Hawkfur nodded, "Indeed, Lillypaw, we'll need to jump into at least one tree, and Mudpaw just explained why. Both of you will try to find and catch at least one bird, alright? Now, to catch the bird you'll need to be fast, and silent. Find it's location, sneak over to it, then jump."

"I love jumping" Lilypaw piped excitedly, leaping up as high as she could "Can I hop through the tree branches?...please?" She asked, an enormous grin played on her face.

Hawkfur looked to Marshfur, then to Lillypaw, "If you don't scare any prey away in the trees than I suppose that'd be alright."

Giving a happy little jump she exclaimed "yay!" Then jumped up into a nearby tree and scurried on upward. As she slunk along the branches she hopped as quiet as she could from tree to tree, waiting for the others.

Mudpaw scented the air curiously, trying to catch the scent of bird again.

Skyfire padded out of the warriors den, still a bit tired. He'd recently chased off a rouge and was just released from the medicine cat's den from an injury that had almost gotten infected. Skyfire Picked up a small bird from the fresh kill pile and began tearing the feathers off.

Lilyhaze stretched in front of the warriors' den and noticed that the fresh-kill pile was low. She looked around the camp, looking for someone to go hunting with. She padded over to Skyfire, her long, fluffy tail swishing elegantly. "Hey Skyfire," Lilyhaze meowed, "Wanna go hunting? There doesn't seem to be that much fresh-kill at the moment."

"Sure Lilyhaze." Skyfire meowed, finishing off his bird. "It looks like a lovely day for hunting." He added, signaling that he was ready for the hunt.

Skyfire followed Lilyhaze, excited to be doing some hunting for a change. He felt like the wind was at his fur considering his last few days where spent recovering from an infected bite.

Lilyhaze padded out into the forest, feeling the cool breeze guiding her paws. She spotted a sparrow in a tree up ahead and leaped into another tree that was a few feet from it, dropping into a hunting crouch.

Lilyhaze pricked up her ears as she heard her apprentice calling her name. I'll just catch this bird... She thought, pouncing and quickly pinning the bird down. She cleanly killed it and then padded back into the camp. Maybe Cloudpaw could come hunting too.

Cloudpaw came charging through the forest scaring off any prey that was still there. he ran into Lilyhaze. "sorry." he murdered blowing a feather off his head.
