Territory Landmarks:

Camp - It is tucked into a natural dip in the sandy moors. This makes the camp sheltered from wind, but easy to attack.

Abandoned Badger Set - A tunnel once used by a badger.

The Gorge - A deep gorge cut by the river in the terrain, border with RiverClan. Apprentices are forbidden to go near it.

Twoleg Farm - The northwest border of the territory is marked by a farm. Ravenpaw and Barley live here.

Outlook Rock - A large rock on the border heading towards Fourtrees. From here, everything can be seen across the moors.

Camp Description:

The WindClan Forest Camp is in a sandy hollow, surrounded by gorse. The entrance is through a gorse tunnel. A tall boulder, called the Tallrock is used by the leader to call meetings.

The nursery and the elders' den are under the gorse wall surrounding the camp.

The other cats, including the leader, prefer to sleep under the open sky, although in bad weather, they retreat in burrows made by rabbits, foxes or badgers.

(Gonna just.. Be the first one to post on this Windclan topic. Maybe others will join me. )

Swiftflight laid lazily sprawled out on the ground in a really inconvenient place, the entrance. He was asleep! His paws twitched occasionally as he slept.

Fawntail busily scurried around her den, sorting and resorting her herbs. She was a little flustered and quite frustrated. It would be so much easier with help! She paused in her steps and growled, releasing a little of her frustration.

Uncurling from his snug sleeping position, Oceanpaw began the day by yawning, stretching out his limbs in a true sleepy fashion. Shaking the lingering sand from his fur, the apprentice blinked owlishly at the camp, waiting for his brain to catch up with the rest of him. Mornings weren’t really his thing, it would seem.

However, Oceanpaw’s ears perked at the sound of a growl from the Medicine cat’s den, his brows furrowing in confusion. What would warrant such a noise so early in the day? He couldn’t recall if the clan had a Medicine cat apprentice or not; surely he could lend a helping paw, seeing as he had no duties assigned to him this morning. After all, how hard could it be?

The young tom padded over to the den’s entrance, slightly unsure of how he should go about introducing himself. Letting out a breath he hadn’t known he’d been holding, he squared his gawky shoulders and poked his head inside, blinking as his eyes adjusted to the darker lighting. “Um,” He started, only just realizing he had no idea what the Medicine cat’s name was; only that they were a she-cat, if her scent was anything to go by. “Excuse me, I was wondering if you needed some help?” His vision had finally cleared, and he tilted his head at the obviously distressed tabby she-cat. "I don't have any apprentice duties assigned this morning, and I heard your growl, so I thought I'd... help?" The apprentice finished lamely, feeling he had to explain his entrance.

Fawntail looked up at the apprentice standing in the entrance to her den. She hesitated, glancing over him. He looked like he wasn't going to cause trouble, but Fawntail could never be sure. She tried to recall his name, her memory a little clouded from her frustration, "Otterpaw, is it?" The name did not feel right on her tongue, but what had been said was said. "As long as you can listen and learn quickly, you can help," she added the last bit on quickly, her tone slightly colder than intended. She turned on the young cat, mumbling to herself as she glanced over the herbs that lay in fornt of her. "Now, what is missing?" She stared intently a the herbs, knowing that something was definitely missing, but unable to recall what it was.

The apprentice flicked his ears back, momentarily daunted by the she-cats glance. Shifting his stance, he made his way further into the den, the scent of herbs and various poultices overwhelming his senses. Returning her gaze, Oceanpaw smiled at the unintended butchery of his name. “Oceanpaw.” He corrected with a small shrug of his shoulders. It didn’t upset him that she didn’t know his name; he didn’t know hers, after all.

Nodding at her cold addition, Oceanpaw stood beside the tabby she-cat. He peered down at the herbs laid at her paws, curiosity prickling the fur on his spine. His nose gave a twitch as he scented the air, wondering what they were used for. One thought nagged at the back of his mind, however, and he knew he had to ask if he was going to help her.

“Sorry to ask, but I’m not sure I remember your name?” He ventured, suddenly annoyed at his lack of contact with his clan. It’s not that he could help it, having been a loner before he’d been found on a morning patrol. Suddenly having a large family wasn't something he thought he'd ever have; needless to say he was still trying to catch his bearings in this new place.

Foxcall struggled with the three rabbits she was carrying, clamping her teeth tighter on their tails. The late night hunt, though more difficult, was exactly what the she-cat had needed. Though she would never admit it to any of her clanmates, Foxcall had been upset and stressed as of late. Not even her brothers knew if her fear of border patrols and it was something she had been ashamed of ever since she realized it. Despite this fear she forces herself to go on the patrols, refusing to tell anyone of her weakness and acting as if nothing was wrong. As Foxcall thought about her recent border patrol and struggled to carry the three rabbits in her maw she didn't notice Swiftflight in the middle of the entrance until it was too late. As the rabbits flew from her gripped teeth Foxcall let out a startled yelp before landing in a heap next to the sleeping Tom.

Fawntail nodded, waving her tail as he corrected her. Oceanpaw, I'll remember that, she made a mental note of the young tom's name. She knew he stood beside her, also staring at the herbs. A small chuckle formed in the back of her throat when he asked her name. She turned to face him, her eyes twinkling with humour, "Already forgotten the medicine cat's name? Out of the names you should remember, mine may as well be top priority!" She gently cuffed the apprentice's ear before answering, "My name is Fawntail. What would happen if you had a bellyache and you couldn't find me because you didn't know my name?"

"Something is missing from these herbs. I hate to admit it, but I really can not place my mind on what it is. Any idea?" She gestured with her nose towards her herbs. Something was not right with her today. She was forgetting what medicine cat she needed in her own den! What if someone really was sick today? What if she needed this herb and she did not have it? A cat's life could easily be in her paws and she wouldn't be able to save them because of one forgetful moment. The idea made Fawntail shiver and her fur stand on end. She leaned forward and sniffed at the herbs, matching scents to names in her head. An unfamilar scent tickled her nose then. She suddenly tensed, "Oceanpaw. I think there is an intruder." The scent was not of the clan cats and it was fairly distant, but not distant enough to be considered safe. She figured that there was someone just outside camp, probably watching them. Who knew? Maybe there were many cats, planning to raid them and just this one was mouse-brained enough not to disguise his scent?

With a start, the sound of laughter filled the den, as Oceanpaw’s mind registered her words. “Honestly, I’d probably wallow in my nest all day.” The apprentice joked back with a grin, his offended ear twitching in reflex. So her name was Fawntail? Well, it certainly fit, given the she-cat’s tabby markings. She wasn't so daunting after all.

He fixed his gaze back to the herbs, his head tilting in concentration as his expression turned more subdued. ‘I have a job to do!’ he reminded himself. Oceanpaw listened to Fawntail’s explanation, but truly hadn’t a clue. He didn’t even know how many different herbs there could be, given his background. “I’m not sure. What are they used for?” He mewed, raising his gaze back to the she-cat. Maybe if he knew their uses, he could guess his way through helping her, at least for now.

Hawkkit huffed in boredome. It's not as if I'm new to the idea of boredome. In fact, I've grown quite familiar with the concept, but that doesn't make it any less difficult to go through... He thought sourly. Hawkkit pawed at the ground below his feet and watched as the others moved through the camp with purpose- far more purpose than he currently displayed (which was virtually none). Day after day he just sat there, waiting for others to take care of him and feed him and watch his every move. He was tired of it, and he was extremely anxious to leave the title of 'kit' behind him in the dust. It would happen soon, only one more moon from now, if he was ready. But Hawkkit could not stand the anticipation. He simply wanted to be able to help our the camp rather than having the camp help him.

Swiftflight was jerked awake from his rather peaceful sleep. He let out a surprised and irritated hiss. Then he noticed that Foxcall was in a jumbled up mess next to him and that there was rabbits a few mouse lengths away from them. As realization hit him, his tail twitched in slight embarrassment. "I'm sorry," He meowed as he got to his feet and went to gather Foxcall's rabbits for her.

Foxcall let out an amused purr and rose from the quickly and gracefully. "Oh no it's fine." She giggled alittle as she padded forwards and grabbed one of the rabbits. Padding over to the fresh kill pile she dropped the rabbit on the top before turning back to the tom. recognizing him she went threw a few names in her head until one felt right. Smiling Foxcall padded back over to him, her tail weaving slowly through the air as she looked up into his eyes, helping hold up the two heavy rabbits. "Sorry I woke you from sleeping. I should have watched where I was walking. I just didn't think anyone'd be out of the dens this early...."

Swiftflight smiled and helped bring the last two rabbits to the fresh kill pile. When he put them down he was finally able to reply, "Ah, no it was my fault. I sleep whenever I feel like. Which happened to be the entrance today. " He looked up at the she-cat and his eyes glinted with amusement. "I guess that's not the best place to sleep though! " he meowed.

Fawntail's first thought was to run, then it was to fight, but finally she settled on the most rational decision. "Well, Oceanpaw, as far as we know, this cat could potentially not even be a real threat," she turned and licked the fur on her shoulder, letting it fall back into place. She took a breath to relax herself. "Just follow me, alright?" She mewed to the young tom and emerged from her den, scanning the camp for an unfamiliar face. Aha, there, she thought, her gaze locking on the cat eating a fish. She felt anger bubble inside her. How dare he eat their fresh-kill! She stormed over to Moonshadow, her eyes narrowed and her fur bristling ever so slightly. "Excuse me, who are you and what are you doing?" She spat. She had told herself she'd approach the stranger calmly and kindly, but the moment her eyes saw him eating the fish, she felt her mind go ballistic.

Fawntail turned on the apprentice, "No cat is too hungry to ask for permission. In fact, no cat is stupid enough to waltz in, eat somebody else's catch and not expect consequences." Her fur bristled and her eyes were in narrow slits. She refused to believe that this cat had any other reason to be there besides to pick a fight. Fawntail believed that she was a reasonable and kind cat, but there were times (and things) where she could simply not tolerate it.

Swiftflight nodded and quietly, but swiftly, trotted towards Treestar's den. As he reached the den he called out to the leader and waited for her to allow him to come in or speak.

"No I suppose not" Foxcall let out another small laugh before touching her nose to his shoulder. "Thanks for the help gathering up the prey. I guess I'll get out of your fur now." Turning away Foxcall started towards the warrior den, hoping to get some rest before she was awoken again. She knew she wouldn't be able to fall asleep but she felt there was nothing else she could say to the tom at the moment and staying around would have been awkward.

Swiftflight smiled and nodded his head in goodbye. He padded back around to the fresh kill pile and chose a nice plump rabbit, one Foxcall had caught perhaps. He dug his teeth into it and savored every bite. Rabbit was his favorite freshkill after all.

The deputy glanced around, she had organised a few patrols and now rest was slipping away from her. She sighed, looking up she decided to embark on a hunting journey.

Foxcall laid in her nest, fully awake and bored out of her mind. As she turned onto her back and looked up at the top of the tunnel she was in she sighed. She had found the old rabbit tunnel as an apprentice and because of her small size as both an apprentice and a warrior she was one of the few who could fit into it. With a sigh Foxcall turned back over and crawled out of the hole, deciding she was right in her assumption of sleep being impossible.

As she emerged from her den she looked around and spotted Stormflight. Knowing the deputy was unaware of her late night hunting trip she was sure that Stormflight give Foxcall some task and so she padded towards the other she-cat. "Stormflight! Wait up!" Reaching the other she-cat Foxcall looked over at her. "Where are you going?" Foxcall asked with a smile as she padded along side Stormflight.

The seven moon old apprentice jerked in her sleep. The scent of fear rolled off her pelt. Autumnpaw's ears twitched as the she-cat continued to dream. The fur around her eyes soaked with wet tears before she finally jerked awake. Breathing hard she waited until she caught a hold of reality. Her eyes closed for a moment while she took a deep breath. Letting it out with a low sigh she reopened her bright autumn amber eyes. Scents from outside of the apprentice den wafted inside. The smell of warm rabbit blood made her mouth water and her stomach let out a loud rumble indicating the she-cat was indeed hungry.

Upon making the decision to finally move and get out of the den the Autumnpaw sat up and stretched her front paws out before getting up and stretching her hind legs. She shook her body gently to rid her pelt of the loose moss that clung to her tabby pelt. She pushed her way out of the den, eyes squinting against the rays of the sun. A cool wind made her shiver but she ignored it as she scanned the camp for someone to engage in conversation.

(So I'm not sure who my apprentices mentor is...if someone would like to be the mentor please let me know! ^^ Also if Hawkkit wants to come talk to Autumnpaw its perfectly okay :3 )

Fawntail stated at the herbs, "Thyme!" She leapt to her paws, excitement seeming to ring in her voice and body language. She turned to the apprentice beside her, "the missing herb is thyme!" She purred with ecstasy and flicked her tail back and forth. "Why don't we go and get it together?"

Oceanpaw jerked back at Fawntails exclamation, not expecting to see such an energy in the medicine cat. Listening to her explanation, Oceanpaw smiled in excitement. "Sure! What does it look like? And what does it do?" He inquired, obviously wanting to get a better knowledge of the herb they were after. "Where will we be going to look for it?" He added as he got to his paws, wondering if they needed to gather supplies to carry this herb before heading out of the camp. The apprentice didn't even feel bad about asking so many questions, as he normally did.
